Working through the music and hearing some awesome stuff including <cite>Fucko<\/cite>, I then hit <a href=\"https:\/\/blacknumbers.bandcamp.com\/album\/hug-your-friends\">Save Ends &#8211; <cite>Hug Your Friends<\/cite><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The contrasting dual vocals immediately reminded me of <cite>Rainer Maria<\/cite>. One of my favourite bands, who I first heard weeks before they split.<\/p>\n<p>I grabbed their other EPs and tried to find their album <a href=\"https:\/\/saveends.bandcamp.com\/album\/warm-hearts-cold-hands\">Warm Hearts, Cold Hands<\/a>. Discogs was a bust, all the sellers were in the US so charging a fortune for postage. I hunted around and couldn&#8217;t find any distros etc having it. Eventually a copy was spied on eBay for cheapness in the UK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/agraham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/SaveEnds.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3090\" src=\"http:\/\/agraham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/SaveEnds.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"http:\/\/agraham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/SaveEnds.jpg 900w, http:\/\/agraham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/SaveEnds-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/agraham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/SaveEnds-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/agraham.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/SaveEnds-768x768.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had listened to the EPs, but decided to hold off on the album until it arrived, which was pretty damn difficult.<\/p>\n<p><cite>Punkorama 30<\/cite> starts with a cool riff repeated and a decent instrumental section.<br \/>\n<quoteblock><br \/>\nCause we have got all these good friends<br \/>\nWe lead fortunate lives<br \/>\nWouldn\u2019t change what I&#8217;ve got<br \/>\n<\/quoteblock><\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s how the album carries on with every track being a banger.<\/p>\n<p>I knew nothing about the band until I heard the EP, on a search I found this <a href=\"https:\/\/newnoisemagazine.com\/interview-save-ends-guitarist-tom-ciesluk-dungeons-dragons-signing-tiny-engines\/\">interview with their guitarist<\/a> which mentions their origin &#8211; they all played Dungeons and Dragons together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I bought a collection of music from the label Black Numbers as part of the ACLU fundraiser.
