Its part of my house keeping - probably being building little things here and there and never got round to fixing theme - especially in my wordpress theme! If you want some stuff about pinging have at the list at http://www.boydofayrshire.com/wordpress/word-press-ping-list/ and add the ping for google blogsearch onto it -it's listed in the comments.
